I started beading in 1999 after my wife and I participated in cultural explorations with the Crow Canyon Archaeological Center in the Four Corners region of the American Southwest. My first beadworks were miniature interpretations of Native American weavings that I created on a beading loom or within a mini-loom frame. Later, I expanded my beading to bracelets inspired by Native American patterns and artifacts. Recently, I added designs based upon other art movements for my bracelets.
For most of my beadwork, I use Miyuki Delica Size 11 beads. The smaller size, consistency and color palette of the Delica beads lend themselves to my beaded mini-weavings and bracelet designs.
